Using Google photos I used to right click on the image, select Copy Image Location and then paste the result betwee img and /img tags.

This doesn’t seem to work now

Lots of threads on it – google have made their image links longer so they no longer work on this forum.

I get the link like you have and then run it through goo.gl to shorten it:

for some unexplainable reason tho, when i do it that way (shorten url using either goo.gl or bit.ly) my pics can be seen for a while, then people start saying they cant see them any more.

You can see them as they’re cached to your computer or linked to your google account. As they don’t end in an image tag no one else can see them as the forum code won’t show them as as image.

Nope, we cant see your pic.

I’m trying to put up a picture from Google, why doesn’t it work.
In Google photos I click on the share symbol then on get link, then click IMG on here, I’ve tried pasting the link in with various combinations of http// etc and it’s not working. The link address isn’t really long as per the one mentioned above ?!

Are you searching from Google or using your hosting?

Using hosting, pictures I’ve taken that are synced between my phone and tab etc.

Why out of interest? I use it for backup and sharing pics or viewing on multiple devices and it seems to do all that well. It just won’t post on here now…

i just had a look at imgur but its not very intuitive. i couldnt work out a way of uploading 10 pics to a ‘for sale’ album say, ready to embed here.

is it just this site that has the problem with g+ pics then, or is g+ a nightmare to embed everywhere?
