I don’t need a full bike mounted GPS but do like to log runs, walks and bike rides so I figured a watch a watch would be better suited to this.

Has anybody got any experience of what to consider (or avoid) when buying?

    Thanks!

I use a Forerunner 305 on the bike and for running. Just over £100 from Amazon at the moment – bargain. I bought a pile of bike mounts as well and they were something like £8 each.

    Hi

I’ve had a forerunner 405 for 3 years. It’s been awesome. Can do ‘turn left in 100m’ etc on road bike if you use bikeroutetoaster or a similar website. Off-road the direction arrow is ok but not as good as a proper map. The bike mount is well worth buying.

Just had to replace the strap, £12. That’s it so far.

Anybody got experience with the new gen of watch that are a bit slimmer? Also it isnt always clear which ones include heart rate monitors? I’m after something that just displays the core stuff like av speed, distance and laps which I assume most do as standard or do some just act as training tools to be plugged in to get the data?
