So we own an opticians have a decent life and tbh look after our staff pretty well, like a lot of businesses the last couple of years have been tough but we’ve come thru it and things are on the up again, so here’s the rub!!

One of our Optoms (very well paid by industry standard) a couple of years ago decided she wanted to do less ours (not work the unsocial ones like Saturdays), which we agreed to as to be fair she is a good optom, and found alternative saturday cover.

Roll on 2 years and the same optom now wants to send her kids to private school, but cant afford to do it soo….wants a pay rise to help pay for it!! Now not being funny we cant afford private school for our kids so why the F… am I going to give someone a pay rise effectively making my self worse off so they can!

Guess that’ll be a no then but cant believe they even asked….
