Imagine a square with 1/4 removed from the top right corner to form an L shape

The challenge (daughter’s school) is how do you divide that into 4 even parts.

Don’t want to tell her daddy does not know 🙂

That’s pretty easy, but how many cuts are we allowed?

3 dimensional object, so flip it on its side and get yourself 4 L shapes that are 1/4 the thickness of the original. 😉

From the inside corner of the L draw 3 lines to the 3 outer corners?

Edit – Scrap that – wont work

    easy.

Devide each of the 3 squares into 4. This gives 12 squares in total. so, for 4 parts, each will have 3 squares. Start with an “L” shape in the bottom left corner. Then mirror it on a vertical axis.

Then mirror the first one again on a horizontal axis. This leaves a fourth identical piece.

    Clever dad, well done!

BY the way, the link provided above wouldn’t open for me.
