Most people on here drive - shall we have a post like this for every hit and run car driver?
Okay, so it was a bit OTT to headbutt the guy, but he appeared to have badmouthed the cyclist first, is that right?

No, 😆 The first act was trying to run the guy down if you are trying to figure out where blame lies.
Cyclist is a bawbag.

It's not a car driving forum though. 😆

this isn't posted in a bike forum, it's in General (also 😆 if you like)
No helmet 😱😱😱😱
"Dickhead who happens to be riding a bike, acts like a dickhead towards a bloke who told him not to be a dickhead...."
“Dickhead who happens to be riding a bike, acts like a dickhead towards a bloke who told him not to be a dickhead….”
This seems about right.
a bit OTT to headbutt the guy,
Yes, he may have crept over the boundaries of polite human interaction there.
Oooof !
Needs moar video, though
As ever, seems there was a bit of verbals and I guess from the still pic, possibly a bit of "obstruction" from the pedestrian - nobody usually gets butted for "I say, do be careful"
I suppose it's also possible that city dude (6 inches taller ?) fancied his chances and was offering him out and the rider was "defending himself", yer honour
Speculation aside, right enough, guy on the bike was a cock (but generally takes two to start a fight, or at least to start an an argument and then one to start the fight)
As CFH and ads678 suggest.
Man acting like a prick while using a bike.
Take away the bike, he would still act like a prick.
Put him in a car, he would still act like a prick.
Driving a van, he would still act like a prick.
In an HGV, he would still act like a prick.
Give him a Jet-Ski, he would still act like a prick.
He was refused access to a Milkfloat, because the dairy suspected he would act like a prick.
Skiing, he would act like a prick.
Bowling, he would still act like a prick.
In the pub, he would act like a prick.
His default setting is……….. he would act like a prick.
The full video gives a clearer idea of who the dickhead is:
Spoiler: It's still Mr Headbutt.
I know this is a bike forum and all, but how TF are there posts on this thread that are inferring that there may have been more to this, and thus making it even remotely acceptable/excusable?
The guy on the bike was not in mortal peril, defending his life. This is nothing other than thuggish ****ery.
FFS.
Despair.
Cargobikedude is the star of the show.
No reaction whatsoever 😂
amazed at the number of people who just accepted someone being assaulted as part of daily life and just saunter off, except for the blond lady and man in a suit, everyone else didnt really give a $hit.

London innit, if you listen to the media, getting involved in something like that will get you knifed or shot.
No reaction whatsoever
Whoah there! He reaches for his phone at the end, probably to call the cops. Or stick a picture of the bloodied banker on his Instagram.
#ThatLondon
Aye the 'don't give a fek' attitude of the cycle courier sat in the cargo bike is pretty shameful!!
The full video gives a clearer idea of who the dickhead is:
Certainly does, and what an utter dickhead
#ThatLondon
and that.
Not any "cyclist" I identify with. Just a **** with a bike.
Dickhead riding a bike runs a red light. Annoyed pedestrian says something (I would have done too). Dickhead reacts.
Dickhead does dickhead.
Dick.
Having seen the BBC version, "cyclist" totally to blame for the initial near miss and an utter prick from then on. Hope he's found soon.
Does seem an extreme over reaction...
Yeah - if the pedestrian had walked across when the light was at green for the cyclist then there would have been an amount of sympathy for the cyclist being annoyed but physical assault like that still isn't justified.
If I headbutted everyone that I've been in a near miss with my head would be worn to a stump by now.
If bikes had number plates and insurance he’d be a lot easier to identify...
Did they ever find the bloke (runner?) who pushed the woman in front of the bus on a bridge in London?
cyclist deserves a good kicking...
Interesting innit. Some people just seem to be on a hair trigger. I swore (slightly under my breath, think I said "for f@#ks sake") after another cyclist cut me up on entrance to canal towpath. Never seen anyone get off his bike so fast and square up ready to go. Unbelievable. I talked him down in the end and we shook hands, but he was ready to go for a muttered comment that wasn't actually personal to him. Takes all sorts I guess.
Goes without saying that headbutt guy is a dick and deserves to have the book thrown at him
This story is also on main page of the BBC news website. Whatever the details of the actual incident, featuring the story is just lazy journalism, playing on the whole 'all cyclists are a*holes' populist thing just for a few cheap clicks. Pretty poor really esp of the BBC
Dickhead yes but q the disproportionate coverage and media hate filled attacks on cyclists. How many hours of coverage did they trawl to find that. I suspect they ignored hours of pedestrians jumping out of the way of speeding cars driven by distracted drivers without a comment. I see unbelievably aggressive and dangerous driving by looking out of my office window.
To be fair, the BBC site has been like cross between the Daily Mail letters page and Women's Own for yonks...
It looks a bit like the suit guy takes a swipe at the bellend as he zips past on the bike.
Bike rider the clearly at fault here. There may have been a few verbals from the fella in a suit, as would be his right with that kind of near miss, but no excuse for the bike riders reaction at all.
"Small man exhibits small man syndrome"
You would have thought with all the CCTV in the swingeing city he would've been collared by now.
It looks a bit like the suit guy takes a swipe at the bellend as he zips past on the bike.
On what planet did you see that ?
Pedestrian rotates his body and pulls his arm up to avoid it being hit by the cyclist.
Some people just seem to be on a hair trigger.
Combined with not realising or accepting they are in the wrong. Same with every argument I have had with a car driver who stops for a row.
On what planet did you see that ?
I'm guessing that's taxispeak for "I don't agree".

Yes, probably.

Nothing taxi related, just a variant of an old favourite.

I bet that pedestrian is a surfer type who wears no top.
the swingeing city
Kudos if intentional.
does he actually headbutt him? I reckon it's faked.
maybe.

🤔🤔
The 57-year-old man needed stitches to a wound above his eye, and suffered ligament damage to his arm, police said.
Obviously an elaborate ruse to discredit cyclists 🙄🙄
oh ok, so an elaborate fake 😉
