    Hi all,
Cx project going well, one question though.

I have a mavic kystrium elite rear wheel(will buy front if this works, or sell it and buy new wheelset if this doesn’t work lol)

I’m looking to use it for cx bike, will be commuting on it but intend to also do some cx races too, so will need to be able to put a decent set of cx tyres on rim.

So, can kystrium elites be used with cx tyres and is it useable?

Or better selling wheel and getting another wheelset that will better suited to commuting and cx racing? If so what wheelset.

    Thanks

I’ve used Ksyrium Elites for ‘cross racing and they are
    easily up to the job.

I think normal road wheels are the norm. Certainly IME.

This is certainly the case in our league.

People usually run cheaper wheels because you are more likely to damage them and wear them out. Round here though some of the corss tracks are smoother than the roads.
