Been receiving and ripping up credit card cheques for the last couple of years, last lot was something offering something like 4% promo rate for the life of the balance. Now that compares quite favourably to a personal loan, I’d pay around £80 cash balance transfer thingy, and can pay it off in 12 months time with some savings that will become available. That compares to 7.9% on a loan, that once I’ve applied for I have to use or cancel within 14 days

Problem is, I’ve got various dormant cards and I can’t remember who offers the promotional cheques, anyone know who it might be so I can request some more?!

I’ve got A&L, Sainburys, MBNA, CWU, Tesco and Barclaycard, I’ve used their 0% on purchases offers to full effect then stuffed them in a drawer and forgotten to cancel them 🙂

    Thanks…

It’s MBNA. I get them all the time. Years ago all mine got made out to Riks Bike Shed.
