I need a new chair so been looking for the past couple days and this secretlab omega seems to get all the best reviews.

I have secondary progressive MS and find it hard to get comfortable in my cheap £100 chair due to cramps/muscle spasms and general discomfort at sitting for any length of time (anything over 15mins is **** painful), i’m under 70kg and 5ft 6″ in height so a small chair like the omega mentioned above that holds me in would be a benefit, id like to nick the seats out of my mates RS4 as they are so comfortable and supportive but i think he’d be quite upset. Ive got around £400ish to spend.

    cheers,

    Looks nice, that.

Can’t answer your question, but this thread from a few weeks back might give you some other food for thought? https://www.2ndhnd.com seemed to be a popular recommendation.

I tried a 2nd hand Herman Miller Aeron but it felt rattly and worn out so I returned it, if I could afford a new one I would in a heartbeat as they’re lovely but…. £1,000!

In the end I bought a Noble chairs Hero black edition, which is basically a Secret Lab Titan (same factory etc) without all the silly ‘GAMERZ’ styling and a perforated breathable cover for less betty swollocks.

Been very happy with it so far, my back and rump seem much happier since I got it and Noble are UK based so spares etc should be easy to come by.

The Hero is their ‘big lad’ chair but they do smaller ones like the Icon which may work for you.

I got a 2nd hand Steelcase Leap v2 off an eBay seller who happened to be local. Really comfy and about a million points of adjustment!

I bought the Noble Chairs Epic for my home office. I like it but the lumbar support is a bit lacking and I have to use the (supplied) extra cushion to get it just so. It actually doesn’t look a million miles away from an RS4 seat! Think it was about £300.

Ive recently tried a noble chair epic but i don’t like the pu leather/leather finish, much prefer to sit on a fabric chair and i found it uncomfortable with the rather flat base and like you say the lumbar adjustment is rather lacking.

Anyway I’ve made a choice (not bad…only took me 2hrs of indecision)- secretlab omega in charcoal blue software fabric, should be here in 4weeks time.

I have a Secretlab Titan and am happy enough with it, they’re well made and pretty comfortable – the base is firm on mine which takes some getting used to but I guess it’s like a bike seat – the best ones might not seem the most comfy initially but over the course of a ride stay the same whereas a squishy extra padded one compresses and ends up giving you a numb backside.

Yeah that’s what i thought, i have no muscle or padding on my arse at all and find it painful to sit for more than a short period so hopefully the omega will enable me to sit for a while without discomfort

Me too,Charcoal soft weave, I’ve got an aeron in work but really find the Titan comfy.

The first week is mmm this is hard and you arse about the recline/lumbar wondering if it’s worth the money but by the second week it was mmm this is comfy by the third week you don’t begrudge it’s cost.
