I would like to have one for my next birthday 50th. Mainly to own as a thing of beauty, thing is I’m still racing a bit so are they still a viable race bike?

Yes, build it up with chorus or record with some lightish wheels for 17-18lb. If good enough for the likes of merckx, saronni, motta, etc to race on. Iv’e never owned a Colnago but will do, one day! I still remember the effect those bikes had on me in my youth, exotic, magical ridden by heros.

I used to race bikes like it 20 yrs ago, it’ll make you go faster anyway cus it’s a Colnago, the extra pound won’t matter 😀
