I have to arrive tomorow at 10am. M4/M3 or is the alternative better, A46 then A36? I’m just a bit sick of the M4 that’s all.

A36 through Salisbury first thing? Good luck 🙂

Yup, A36 is madness coming into Sotty, then you’ve got to join the M27, then (where ever you are going) you’ve got to get into Sotty J3 down the M271 is gridlock.

    Sorry.

I’d stick to the M4/M3, even then it’s not a fun journey just a little more sedate.

Use the M4 but drive a lot faster so it’s over with quicker. 😉

M4, A34, M3, The Avenue. Drops you into Soton town centre, traffic will have eased by 9.30, easter hols and all that

Agree with the route but hampshire schools don’t break up until Friday.

But that’s probably still the best route. Just FYI there are all sorts of jellyfish (edit. Hellish not jellyfish) roadworks round the outskirts of the city if you are not going to the middle.
