Went out to try and see it in Richmond Park, Bournemouth earlier.

Way too much light pollution though unfortunately.

Just driven home from Bath, and needed fog lights for the first time in yonks, so a big fat zilch here, even if they were occurring.

LOL at same suspects’ mention of lady parts and ensuing discussion thereof.

I saw it in Macc about 10 years ago, i didn’t realize what it was at the time I thought it was some lights from a show at tatton park reflecting in a strange way, as the lines were horizontal in the sky i couldn’t work it out but it didn’t even think about it been the aurora. It was only when they had a guy from Jodrell bank on radio 5 the next moring talking about it that I found out.

It always puts a smile on my face when i think people go on holiday to the arctic to see the northern lights and i saw them on a thursday night going to the esso garage in Macc to get a can of coke.

True but they are much more spectacular if you go on holiday to see them, and it happens more than twice in a lifetime 🙂

The women who was just on Radio 4 talking about the aurora said she had a Fleet of Spaceships above the clouds watching for the aurora.

I want to meet here if she has a fleet of spaceships. Not just one, but a fleet. 😀

it takes 1-3days to reach here – unlike the light – so unlikely to be here yet as peak activity was yesterday- slim chance for tonight better over the weekend

Not visible in Dorset last night.

I saw them in Canada some years ago. They were absolutely frickin amazing!

They weren’t just a faint glow on the Northern Horizon but a full on horizon to horizon green, glowing pulsating light show.

I initially thought the world was coming to an end until I realised what they were.
