Thought I would put this out on here as I have never seen this before, the rotor on my front brake is rubbing on my fork brake post only slightly but enough to take the red anodizing off. When its in the work stand there approx 1/2 mm between rotor and post I suppose it rubs when flexing under load. The hubs are Kings and rotors Hope tied into 2012 Fox 36s, only thing I can think of is axle spacing as the problem has only started since I tweaked the axle locking cone in a tad to take out a bit of play. Surely it shouldn’t be that close anyway?

This is more usually a problem with some models of Fox 36s and floating rotors – solution is to file off 1/2mm of material from the brake mounts.

Thanks teef does seem a little harsh though

I had exactly the same thing with my 32s and King hubs. I couldn’t bear the thought of filing down the forks or hubs so switched to Marta SL rotors.
