Started an hour later than usual yesterday morning (due to riding group having had two consequitive heavy nights) so the possibility of meeting muppets was higher than normal.
So we (5 of us)were heading out of the forest along singletrack that runs alongside the railway and had stopped between bridges on firetrail that crosses the singletrack. All of a sudden a true muppet appears complete with grey tracky bottoms, earphone in and no helmet shouting CLEAR THE ROAD, CLEAR THE ROAD.
We all looked at each other and thought..... 'what a 'anker'.

Was he justified or not given that there was enought room on the firetrail for small groups of people to walk past and for him to ride past without slowing down?

maybe he just wanted a group of real MTBers to look at him to make him feel at one with you? It's a bit weird but there are people who think like that. Maybe a sad lonely person. Or maybe a bit of a fruit and nutcase.

What were conditions like over there. Might pop over for a ride this week.

It was great mainly because the trails were frozen. Personally I think it's getting a bit wet over there at the moment but we can all ride there from home so it's a no-brainer unless we're off into Wales.

Were you stopped blocking the trail? Very irritating habit of many Mtbers
