My girlfriend has gived me her silver braclet to get cleaned FFS 🙄

Its quite “tarnished”, I cant be 4rsed to take it to the jewllers and get it cleaned professionally, and pay for it.

Can i just stick it in a glass of coke cola or somert?

    Any ideas, cheers?

If you know any smokers, rub it with cigarette ash…

Not the butts, just the ash.

If my girlfriend/wife or whatever ‘gave’ me her bracelet to be cleaned, I would give it back to her and tell her to get it cleaned herself.

You could get into trouble for spreading those sort of rumours 😉

Cigarette ash is really gentle polishing agent so you get a soft luster. Or you could try vinegar or lemon juice.

I’ve used alcohol to clean a bracelet before – something like vodka might work, though I used something my parents keep for setting fire to the christmas pudding – high alcohol content and basically undrinkable. Soak it overnight, then wash it well in hot water.

This is assuming it’s a plain silver bracelet; if it’s got stones of any sort set in it, I’d be more careful…

Like Capn Flash I use the under butler for such jobs. Failing that Garrards silver dip does a good job.
