Whats the best SS device for the rear hanger?

On One? DMR kit?

I got the DMR kit and won’t look back. But when it comes to a new chain (still on a 9sp.), I’ll get a new chainring, rear cog and a BMX chain…

I’ve just ordered an On-one cos I’m a bit skint, otherwise internet wisdom seems to be that the Surly Singulator is good.

Edit: I was after one that tensions up too, the On-one worked out about the same as the DMR one otherwise.

Slight hijack: If I set everything up with the On-one doofer and then upgraded to a Surly one later, might I have problems with the chain length or should it be OK?

On one doofer does the job without any fuss. I’d stay clear of the springy ones personally as they seem to need more frequent adjustment. I like the ones that stay put – much nicer.

How do they get on with rear discs?

The Doofer is great, fitted and forgot mine.

looks like an eccentric brake mount – clever stuff.

Will see how I get on with the doofer then… actually it’s an other doofer and has just arrived 🙂
