    I’ve had a couple of dealing with them this week and been told that they can’t access any personal records as the computer system is currently being “upgraded”. Apparently, this is going to take 9 or 10 DAYS!!!!!

    That is mildly amazing. My recent experience has been very good, but I write letters, quoting every reference number under the sun and send them special delivery. As with so many things, the telephone makes it slower not faster.

    I called their helpline the other day, as I need a letter confirming my company is registered in the UK. I got the same reply, that their system is currently being upgraded, which would delay their response by two weeks, on top of the four week delay due to a backlog of work.
