Having problems slipping gears – how far from the cable stop should the ‘nut’ on the cable than slots into the hub be?

I think it’s 101mm but if you search on Google you should find the user guide as a badly scanned pic or a pdf.

The usual cause of slipping gears is a sticky cable or kink in the cable

I’m having the same problems with my 11 speed.

To cure it you are ment to put it in 6th gear and alter the cable length to line up 2 yellow dots on the hub.

I’ve tried and tried so has my LBS it’s going back very soon.

IMO internal hubs from Shimano are shite,,,,

8 speed ones are really good, 11 speed ones aren’t so good

My 8 speed has been fantastic for 2 and 1/2 years with no maintenance.

The guys at the Shimano tent at 2010 MM24 said they’d not had a failure at all.

Have no knowledge of the 11 speed hub.
