    There's a discussion going on another forum I use about some survey/stats saying that advanced instruction doesn't help people stop having accidents

    (It s mostly USA based forum, FYI, but that's no problem, although they do have some wierd ideas)

    Anybody got any links to anything similar that says the opposite, probably from the UK?

    I am Googling as we speak too…..

    What I'm looking for is something about the better training/testing standards in recent years leading to a fall in accident rates. I'm sure it's happened, I just can't find it…

    If you're meaning advanced ie post-pass, IAM etc, the trouble is that people who do this sort of training are often less likely to crash in the first place- sort of like hi-viz vests on motorcyclists, riders who wear vests tend to be more cautious and risk-aware in the first place.
