As title really. I’m about to buy a pair of the above shoes and just wondered what size would be best to order. Generally do they come up small, tight, too big etc

I’m normally a uk10 in Nike/ asics etc perhaps an 11 in Adidas.

    Does anyone have a pair/similar??

    Thanks in advance

    Hey hi Andy!
It appears that you’ll get a lot of bang for your quid with those shoes; I’ll probably get myself a pair, too.

Anyhow, as for sizing, apparently they’re a tad narrow, if we’re to believe this impromptu reviewer.

I take a UK 10/European 45, or there abouts, and besides this review (“The fit is slightly wider than average (and wider than some of Mavic’s other shoes), but should still suit all but the narrowest—or widest—feet. The Rush also has a generous toe box, which provides plenty of room for your feet to move when it’s time to run. Riders who prefer a closer fit, though, may find the toe box a bit too spacious”), all I have to go by is Mavic’s own sizing chart.

    Anyhow, I hope that helps.

I have some Switchbacks, which are curiously similar to my Salomon XA 3D Ultras in terms of design and fit. Same parent company [Adidas], so safe to assume the same last is used by both brands.

FWIW is went one size up for both.

I’ve just bought some Mavic Rush as well. I’m posting this in case anyone in the future googles this and needs sizing help, as I found this post by googling.

Like the original poster, I’m generally a size 10, and 11 in Adidas. The couple of pairs of specialised cycling shoes I’ve had have been Eur45 which is about a 10.5.

Some places on the web sell the Mavic Rush in half sizes, but where I bought from didn’t, so they ordered in a size 11 which is a Eur46. Fits well. Just slightly tight on the width of one of the shoes, but that should ease off when I start to wear them.

As a side note, I did try on the specialised bg comp shoes and thought they were a better fit (for me) and more comfortable, but I preferred the white mavics to the black specialised.

Half a size over your normal “trainer” size seems to work spot on in my experience for both salomon trainers and mavic (same last)

(ps, neither have had anything to do with adidas for years now)
