    something similar happened on a riding holiday my dad and his mates went on in the summer. my dads got a honda tourer – not the goldwing,or pan euro – the baby 600cc twin and one of the lads was on a gsxr and was intent on showing off its power at every opportunity….

    until the day he strapped something to the top of his strap on panniers. it came loose and flapped a bit , my dad went up along side him to tell him to stop …..

    he saw my dad coming along side and tore off on his back wheel ….. cue the flappy bit going through the back wheel and sucking in the pannier…. …. pride and gsxr into a million little bitties ….
