    And in the TDF the Tour de Yorkshire would be classified as ‘rolling’ at best and probably flat.

    Possibly, although look at the total amount of climbing from stage 2 in 2014. Yes, they’re all short climbs but there’s plenty of them.

    Sure but I can do the same ride around the Surrey Hills, over the same distance, and rack up the same total alitude gain.
