Which is stiffer on a conventional 9mm dropout fork (26″/130-150mm)?

mmm…. I don’t know the answer to that; my best guess would be the RWS is stiffer because it’s tighter, but I’m no engineer.

However, bear in mind that a *working* RWS skewer may be stiffer, but they have a tendency to drop out of that state of workingness…

The Superstar Components version works very well on the two bikes I have with 9mm fronts.

Already have an RWS skewer (still working) on the front but have just switched to Flow/Superstar Switch wheels and was just wondering whether to take a punt on some 9mm axle adaptors and a QR from Superstar.

As mk1fan says, the Superstar version works really well IME.

superstar is fine (or fireeye from CRC, same). despite the plastic bush bit.

Bump for a few more opinions from the evening crew and those half-cut from celebrating the TDF victories.

Why not get the 10mm rear one too.

Already got 10mm on the rear.

And for only 18 quid for adaptors and QR axle, I’ve just taken a punt on the front now too.

RWS – better torque than a QR.
