Have some respect for our betters. After all she did get the gig by winning a "Most naked in a fashion show" contest.

You may be right stoner, but that would be a very sad state of affairs IMO.

In case anyone missed it, she arrived by car. Love the fact the BBC feels it reqs three different people in different locations to report on this plus the people banging on about it in the studio.

I'm not even a royal hater but this is so far over the top it's unreal.

If they give us another royal bank holiday I'll put up with this crap but otherwise they can STFU.

Members of the world's media have waited outside the hospital for weeks for news of the royal baby

I hope everybody bought the Mail on Sunday yesterday for their special Royal Baby supplement. Heartwarming it was. And there was some lovely stylish and tasteful products for the more discerning royalist. I couldn't resist....

Whats the name of those fundamental particles that get transmitted from the royal balls again?

Was it Kingons and Queons? something like that;

Some people say they don't exist, but they _must_ be real.

Otherwise, what exactly makes these people different and gives them the right to rule over us all?

I'm getting my news from the Daily Mash, it's far better than other sources at times like this:

The TV news people here in the US are in just as much of a dither about it----almost as much as the wedding.

It's been rolling on News 24 (or whatever it's called) all day today. Amazing how they can spend all day reporting on absolutely nothing happening. If you ever wondered what the outside of a hospital looks like, it's the channel of choice.

Had a discussions with my wife about this today, she was of the opinion that it is news worthy and it is our future monarch and therefore we should be excited. I however am of the opinion that neither the queen or any of the royals gave two sh*** when my children were born, I am entitled to return the favour!

Strangely as I get older I am becoming more and more of a republican! I thought I was supposed to get more royalist as I progressed in years!

Her having a baby is certainly newsworthy.

Her not having a baby for several hours on end, less so.

Don't recall wall to wall news coverage when Peaty or the Athertons did something that is completely normal and unexceptional! Also they are not part of the inherited monarchy and therefore probably won't be part of a structure that expects me to show additional respect to them because of it!

I'll see your

Her not having a baby for several hours on end, less so.
,and raise you a "crowds of news reporters stood outside the hospital reporting on the crowds of news reporters standing outside the hospital".

Everyone involved should be hunted down and shot as a news generation measure.

Loving the 'lizard overlord' comments!
Sadly, I'm pretty sure that, somewhere out there in the hinterlands of t'interwebz, there are people totally convinced that there's a team of specialists waiting in the next room with the appropriate means to make the baby lizard look human. 😐

There should probably be a Royal Cervix Dilatometer fronted by one of those celebrity Dr types.

It's not the fact that she's Royal, it's that she's a celeb.

There's a live stream of the hospital front door here :

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/royal-baby-news-live-video-2060141

I have to admit that waiting for the royal footman to come out of the front door with the envelope to announce that a baby has been born, is proving to be rather exciting.

I might stay up tonight to witness this historical event.

I can never understand why the media camp at front of hospitals when the royal family repeatedly use the back door entrance!
