The ones where you never think of skipping a track, that just flow and work as a whole. The weird thing is they are not always my favourites. Some phenomenal albums are ruined by one or two downright shitty, simply misplaced, over exposed or difficult listen tracks.
As examples I love Idles - Joy as an Act of Resistance but have to skip June. A lot of hip-hop albums have skits that are skipped once the novelty wears off. Deltron 3030 would be on the list if it wasn’t for that fact.
Which ones do it for you? For me it has to be (in no particular order).
1: Screaming Trees - Dust
2: Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial
3: Dr John and the Meters - In The Right Place
4: Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks.
5: Frazey Ford - Indian Ocean.
6: Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced.
7: Parquet Courts - Wide Awake.
8: Clutch - Blast Tyrant.
9: The Gladiators - Trenchtown Mix Up.
10: DJ Format - Music for the Mature B-Boy.
Therapy-Troublegum. Absolute gold all the way through with barely space for a breath in between tracks.
Ohh, this thread could be full of controversy...
But this stays on and often gets repeated over and over..
