You'd think no more than Royal Mail are responsible for parcel bombs...

My understanding is that the law is complex and unobvious, my ISP has a page about semi-related laws at https://www.aa.net.uk/legal/legal-status-customers/.

So, maybe?

I doubt it, but it will depend on how the network is provided I guess.ย  If you provide it as a service, then there will simply be a load of t's&c's that people agree to and they accept those conditions to use the service.ย  One of the conditions would be that the user agrees not to do anything naughty whilst connected and that you, the provider, won't be held responsible for any damage caused by said user.

If the person has used your network without your permission, I don't see how you could be responsible.

In my defence I was looking up something about the launch party of Susan Boyle's album.
