First yoga class last night.

Why did nobody tell me that:

1. this is a great workout, and a fantastic way of stretching tight cycling muscles; and

2. it comprises a room full of bendy women in lycra....?

... And being bendy means you don't hurt yourself as badly when you fall off.

....And one day in the next few weeks, you'll get into a position that forces a massive, ripping fart out of your arse and you'll never return to the class again.

we have a yoga class at my work

the teacher is a babe

its 90% women

they all wear tight lycra and stick their bumbs in the air

its made me realise how terribly imbalanced my muscles were from cycling

its improved my balance, concentration, relaxes me and has done wonders for my hamstrings

Yep - I used to regularly go to yoga while a member of a gym. I need to find a class to go to as I did enjoy it.

My wife's a yoga teacher (Hatha, I think, but what would I know?). See my post marked 'choices choices'. I am fat, bald, from Barnsley and very smug.

OK: in no particular order, some responses:

Ashtanga

West Didsbury, Manchester. Yoga Manchester.

The fart was brewing, but thankfully there was no escape last night. At least, if there was, it would likely have gone in Mrs North's face (and I would definitely never be in a position to "yoge" again).

I'm aching lots in the shoulders, but that's because I ride a road bike lots, and so have become wimpy and weak in the upper body.

Such a good thing to do (and not just for the lecherous reasons - Mrs North is there as well, and I tend to think she's rather hot), and I can't believe I never did it before.
