I went on a thing called a bus 🙁

Apparently they have them up north as well 😉

PS the park and ride was cheap and I will it again. Even though the ride felt like a trip inside a chieftain tank with a flat tyre.

You can now buy Greggs sausage rolls in Iceland to cook at home.

That should send the snobby diet fascists on here into apoplexy!

If that adverts are anything to go by, it doesn't look like Iceland actually sells any food?

Hideous looking crap.

There was a program I saw on telly about their food sourcing/choices.

"Like Waitrose but cheaperer" seemed to be their motto when it came to vol-Au-vents and petite-fours.

I went in there once. Got a lovely salt and pepper grinder set for £1.
That's food. (Almost)

I saw the programme where they talked about launching their posh range. The guy wanted to position Iceland as an upmarket store.

In the same episode he decided (unilaterally apparently) that there was far too much choice in wine, no-one want to have to try and choose from all these labels, so he reduced it to three stock lines, labelled 'Good Red', 'Good White' and umm.. something else, I forget what 😉

Seems rather conflicting in marketing terms!

The guy wanted to position Iceland as an upmarket store.

Unfortunately for them, Iceland will forever be associated with Kerry Katona, so there is not much chance of that.
