Maybe they'll come up with a relatively cheap way to switch off all the ads, maybe something like a membership scheme.  They could jazz it up by calling it 'Premier' something, and give you a little icon by your forum username - how cool would that be?

Thanks to the way I swipe on my phone I've been clicking the buggers a lot in the last day or so as they load up.  No doubt STW towers will see that as a good thing but it's going to make me go back to just visiting here at home on the laptop with it's naughty chrome extension.  No problems with ads when done right but these things are awful.

I believe the ads are smart enough these days to know if you've just clicked by accident or have genuinely clicked an advert and had a look around. So sadly all that has done has served to annoy you, Milky.

...if only the technology existed so that we didn't get logged out continually so that they don't go away...

At least it doesn't have the crappy adds like cycling weekly that advertises hearing aids, tells me how I can see if I had a ppi claim or how 'jaw dropping' someone looks like or what their net worth is.

If I was visited that website for the first time ever, that window would have annoyed me straight away and i would have gone somewhere else. Just saying.

Thart is of course dependent on the subscriber being logged it which is unlikely when the forum kicks you out between every single visit

Apparently I can do this from £1.99!! I've seen this so many times I might just click on it and spend me some money!!

Hey! Just noticed that the magazine sitting on my coffee table is OUT NOW! COOOL!
