Assuming it was allowed under English law of course, and you could promise to keep her in the same manner as the first wife....?

^ This

My particular catastrophe involved 1 wife, 4 daughters, 2 divorced sisters and a widowed mother, 8 wimmen all looking to me for one thing or another, 1 more and I could have gotten them to change a light bulb.

Take another wife? Not in our culture of them being the dominant species and even God being a woman.

I think that's rather the point. Sounds like a lot of hard work to me.

More importantly, given equality, how would you feel about sharing your wife with another man?

I interviewed a man the other day who had three wives, five kids between them, all three wives were fit. May have had a fourth one away in the countryside.

Turned up in a blinged out caravelle.

He looked pretty happy, wives seemed nice enough, although when out of the room, they all just sat on their phones silent.

Well, I'm on my second, so to take another would possibly meet Mr Einstein's definition of insanity...

No, I'd never find another one who'd put up with me, and besides, the one that I've got is just wonderful.

The first one didn't come with a receipt, so I'm skeptical...

Would this be one that has possibly come into a sizeable pot of money quite recently? ๐Ÿ™‚

Personally, I wouldn't.

Two wives? I haven't married the first woman yet!

(Together 18 years, one child. No rush.)

That cartoon;

"one wife two many"

Is that part of the joke or just a basic failure of English?

Training one is bad enough. Cat herding would be simpler.

Jeeze.... that's a point. The MIL comes to stay twice a year and our electricity bill shoots up because the TV stays on all day on garbage TV, the log store shrinks fast because the stove is lit all day and she witters incessantly about supermarket special offers and loyaly cards. I can't imagine that doubled.

I don't know, but when you find out for christ's sake don't tell Hora. Imagine the size and quantity of the threads.

I like having one wife so much that having two sounds like an excellent idea. Or more.
Doesn't N+1 come into this at all?
