My money is him raising taxes on everything else except petrol, to raise the cash he needs to not raise the duty on petrol

Definitely fags and booze. Everything though, I reckon. Medication for pensioners? A new childbirth tax, doubled for those who live in a caaaaaaaaaaaaarncil aaaaaarse, mushy pea tax for northerners, and from now on you have to have a meter surgically attached to your arse so that every time you fart it now costs you 50p

mushy pea tax for northerners

Sounds fair to me I'm a northerner and can't stand the things.

First they came for the mushy peas, and I did not speak out--
Because I can't stand the things.

Then they came for the curry sauce, and I did not speak out--
Because I don't like that either.

Then they came for the gravy, and I did not speak out--
But, to be honest, I was getting a bit concerned at this point.

Then they came for the pies........

Does the mush pea tax extend to all pea related products? Only I've got some ham in and fancied some pease pudding with it (Northern version of Guacamole for all you southerners)

I'd be more inclined to fill your lungs with Air, for that will be the next tax.

I had mushy peas last night, happy to go another couple of weeks without them TBH.
