I've just been messing around to get the UCI youtube working via a german proxy (blocked in UK and US).

But now I see the BBC one is much better (and missing Ligget as a bonus!).

Edit: in case anyone needs the proxy link:
http://germany-proxy.com.de/
Then paste the UCI channel into there:

I've suddenly got very nervous - Wiggo's upper body is moving more than I've seen for a while.
Although Tony Martin looks hot too.

Alex Dowsett a little disappointing.

Sky's normal policy is to start slow and finish quick, so I hope that's the plan today.

Shimano should start selling chainset chairs. My missus would love 4 of them in the dining room!

He should do the hour record soon. His time would stand for a while I think. Would put a lot off even attempting.

Bloody brilliant! Smashed it!! I was "watching" it on the Cycling News live timing thingy, F5 took a healthy battering!

I'll wait for all the haterz to tell me how he only won 'cos the course suited him now...

Though that would definately go to Martin. I'll bet he did too. He's been really strong all year.

Great result.

WIGGO, WIGGO, WIGGO!!

Hope he gets to wear the rainbow skinsuit at more than just the Tour of Britain. Excellent result which kept a few of us on he edge of our seats. Wiggins has been in good form all year, just not Grand Tour GC form.

An yes, the course suited him more than Martin, but the margin was bigger than I (and most people) would have expected.

Surprised there was no coverage on eurosport. This is the last 15 minutes from steephill.

Classic Wiggins

“I didn’t have any time splits until 5km to go. It was important to pace your own ride, and I didn’t want to change my tactics. I had a game plan in my head,” Wiggins said. “When I got to the top of the final climb, when they said I was 10 seconds faster than Tony, I nearly s—t myself.”
