What decent but good value screen does stw use on days when cycling working from home?

Doesn’t need to be stupidly massive. To be plugged into a windows machine.

Dell Ultrasharp, in the size of your choice.

I've got the U2719D which is a 2560x1440 resolution.

Around the £300-350 mark

Plenty good enough for "work" and will also do a decent HDMI HD input too.

I'm using a cheapie 22" Samsung LCD TV -- it does VGA in, and my laptop does VGA out, so there you go, two screens.

It was somewhat less than 150 notes a few years back.

Serious point though...

If occasional use only, laptop on the kitchen table suggestion makes sense.

If permanent, and especially if you have a dedicated room, exactly the same set up that you would expect/demand if you were in the office.

I have a docking station for my laptop (Dell something or other), Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and a big Dell screen (20 inches plus across).

I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and then prop the laptop on something.

I have a couple of Dell 23" screens at work which costs about £140 don't need to go mad.

2 x Dell 27" (one for work emails/Skype in case anyone is trying to get hold of you, one for web browsing/iPlayer/games)

Oh, aye, and invest in some wireless headphones so you can do the hoovering/essential bike maintenance tasks/whatever and still "be at your desk" by hearing and responding to Messenger alerts!

Pretty happy with my LG IPS 22" 1080P. For £90 it does the job. Or around £100 for the 24"

For portable I use a Roost stand, Blue Logitech bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I don't look down at a laptop. That includes kitchen table duties.

For WFH in the spare room, I use a 21" HP monitor and the same keyboard and mouse. I also have a 21" Samsung, and it is rubbish. Pay about £125 for something reasonable, bigger is possible, but then you have to wrestle the thing from your gaming sons.

Yup it’s a permanent thing for the office to hook the work laptop up to. Good shout on the wireless headphones.

A slight tangent but Anybody use messenger on their mobile and know how to get it to be always “live”. Mine I think defaults to away when the phone turns to std by and calls / messages don’t always come through. It’s an Apple flavour device.

Further tangential but linked to the above anybody used bone conductor ones when out on the bike? So not really for music so not that fussed about sound quality as long as it’s clear.

No other display outputs on the laptop? VGA is about the worst connection you can use on a modern machine.

Aftershokz Trekz Titanium work well for me.

Your ears are open so no missing that artic behind you. They interfere with glasses if you're wearing them, but fits under most helmets ok.
