Inspirational , as in story, JEEZUS WEPT, it seems getting out of bed is an inspiration to others these days.

Maybe surviving cancer 5 times is inspirational but ffs thats a word being used far too often that its pretty much pointless

Legendary? Another one where reaching puberty makes you long enough in the tooth to gain noteriety.

Actually.

Epic.

Mate - to which the correct response is 'my name isn't mate and I'm not your mate' or 'You call me mate so I'm sure you won't mind if I call you scrote'.

To be fair.

Why do so many people now, seem to punctuate their speech with "to be fair"?

You wouldn't write it like that.

Phil have you considered the problem is yours?  Each of the paragraphs in your OP contains its own overexcited hyperbole without any obvious awareness of the irony?

did Jesus really cry at evolution of the language?

is it really pointless to describe a positive or uplifting story as inspirational, or does it help to “market” the story to those who wish to be uplifted (and equally allow the permanently miserable to avoid such inspiration!)?

does legendary imply longevity of the person? Surely not.  Surely it is about tendency for the story to be retold repeatedly, and the character in such a story to become renowned.  It’s clearly just as “wrong” to presume that someone becomes legendary just because they have been around for a very long time as it is to suggest that extreme fame for a short term period deserves the label.
