I am struggling today, nothing on my first two lines, 2 letters in the wrong place on the third, with where they can't be and everything else I have eliminated I can't see anything close to a word. I will come back to it later.

I got the last 3 letters on my 2nd go, but it still took another 3 tries before I got the last 2.
Even though I've used both websites today (nytimes and powerlanguage) my stats still show 10,100,10,10 with all my guesses on the 4th and 5th try, even though I fluked Saturday's word in 2.
Did it in 4 today but had too come back to it twice as I couldn’t think of any words that fitted what I had left after 3.
I don't know if I get the point of it. Is it to do it in as few words as possible, I hear of people like above going away to think of the answer. To me, it's about words but also mental dexterity, so i try to guess rapidly and then move on. I'll quite happily use a word in 2nd or 3rd guess that clearly isn't right (missing letters already identified) as a means of providing additional info. If it takes me more than about 3-4 mins start to finish I don't think I've done very well, even if that takes 4 or 5 guesses.
Consequently I had 3 of the letters of today's word but also had discounted several other key ones leading me to realise the second letter was key to the word, and there aren't many words with that as second letter. Add in the other letters and from there it was a cinch.
Just managed to get it again.

Anyone else get caught out by not switching to the NYT version today? Apparently us old skoolers who hadn't refreshed the page got a different word to the NYT lot (actually I'm not convinced what I got was a real word tbh!).
Found it hard today, normally can do it fairly quickly in 3 or 4 goes, today i got it on the last go after using the 5th go to get rid of a bunch of letters. Had to leave it and come back to it too!
