We bought a table from a shop in January and it appears to have a woodworm infestation.
I have no idea where I stand in terms of sales of goods act, as its still fit for purpose but it looks bad. I think we bought it on Credit Card so can dispute it that way but they do go to great lengths to explain that as its a natural product there will be variances in the finish, but no mention of this due to wood-worm.
Any advice?

Worth a try but I can't help think that they'll say that they could have come from the house. The incubation period for wood-worm larvae to beetle is 2 years though and as its beetles coming out of the wood, it looks like it was infested before we bought it.
I am not an expert in insects though.
