Hi , I have got the hint and it seems the lady in my life would like a rain jacket for her birthday. Who says romance is dead?

Hardshell I guess...

Not quite what you are after. But this looks great from a new made in the UK brand.

I am really picky about my kit - decent quality, no womanly print, good fit and tend to find Mountain Equipment and Berghaus tick those boxes. However, I tend to pick up the best jacket I can find in a sale, so specific model not much help. Had a look at those Alpkit jackets in the Peaks store the other week and they looked nice.

I just got a Rab Kinetic ( https://rab.equipment/uk/womens/waterproof/kinetic-plus-jacket-wmns)- yet to prove the waterproof claims but it feels amazing.Hood is very funky - might actually be the first hood I’ve ever come across that works.

Was on discount at Cotswolds - think I paid £135

With my wife, its colour first and then the rest - I usually go online, line up a row of options and she choses the one she likes best. Last one was a Berghaus GoreTex on Sportspursuit for £100.

Personally I wouldn't consider buying my wife a rain jacket - she needs to try it on to see fit, etc
Colour comes a long way down the list for her

The cop on The Loch (Laura Fraser) has this one I think:

Looks nice - at least on her it does 🙂

I just got a Rab Kinetic

Does look very nice, tried one on but can't really justify another jacket (already have 5 GTX shells).
