Why is it that when you have day drinking planned and the judicious application of heat to meat, with friends, the wife gets ill. Now I have to either forego the planned festivities, or accommodate the three year old. The stress is real.

Fill the kid with booze and steak. You'll soon get peace ๐Ÿ™‚

Screen and LOTS OF SWEETS!

Or just pass the kid around the mates to play with.

TBH though, the wife is probably testing you!!...

I'd be abandoning the sick one and taking the 3 year old along with me...never too early to learn the joys of BBQ!

Pays to remember the following adage, particularly when you have a 3-year-old:

"If you want to have a good time, forget it."

Well she's already said "Daddy are you going to the pub today to drink beer? Can I come?"

So that may be an equitable solution. I'll pass her to a mate when we return for the BBQ.
