Junior 1 wants a wireless headset for the XBox. I remember trying to sort some bluetooth ones out for his PS4 without success. Any recommendations for the XBox? Can he just use a Bluetooth set? Ta
Assuming you mean gaming headset rather than chat headset, Turtle beach are very good. Linky

TBH though, you're not gaining much over a wired headset and that'd be a third of the price. The headset plugs into the controller not the console. The only downside is the risk of catching the cable on something.
Bluetooth won't work (maybe with adapters) so you'll need something that says it works with the Xbox specifically. As Cougar says I don't think wireless adds much, the newer Xbone controllers have a 3.5mm plug, older ones are proprietary.
I've just looked what I have. It's that well known brand, Nubwo.

It wouldn't have been my choice - it was a gift - but honestly I can't fault it. The sound is mint, the chat voice is crystal clear, it's comfortable, braided cable, it feels like a premium product. I'd highly recommend it if it weren't for the fact there's a wired Turtle Beach offering at the same price point and even then, this is a known quantity to me, it could well be better than the entry-level TB unit that I've not listened to.
Thanks Both - the boy claims that plugging the headset into the controller runs the batteries down too quickly. I can’t help thinking we’re maybe trying to address the wrong issue 🤔
the boy has some sort of turtle beach wireless set, and has had no complaints in the two odd years he's had them
he had a lot of complaints about the Game equivalent prior to that

What you need there is half a dozen rechargeable AAs and a decent battery charger. Established wisdom is Eneloops but any marketed as "pre-charged" is essentially the same technology. If he's going through a full set of batteries in one session it's probably time to put the controller down and do something else for a bit.
