I'd probably just re-install it. Have you got the latest essentials version or whatever it is called?

I had loads of problems with it. Initially the clips take an age to load in but I was thinking maybe my laptop was just a bit underpowered.

When you are working on a long project, be sure to save it regularly. I've gotten in the habit of hitting save after each change I make as I've lost countless projects from it crashing..

If or when you get totally hacked off with WMM, have a look at TrackAx. It is really very very good for (last time I looked) about £25.

I used WMM for a while with no problems. However, after a while, I could no longer import files, it just came up with a grey screen instead of the image/video.

I now use Serif MoviePlus, I have the full X6 edition, but you can download the Starter Edition for free, no time limit, which is very good, much better than WMM, can do a lot more (although it may be slightly more limited with regards to file types, look into it).
