I took an instant dislike to Windows 8 the first time I used it. Since then I've bought a touchscreen laptop and it works really well. I wouldn't have it without a tocuhscreen.

You will need a separate computer running the VM, this just allows you to connect to it from a chromebook.

Install the 8.1 update. I was using Classic Shell because I found the 8 interface a pain in the neck, but have ditched that since installing 8.1, which works very well for me.
