Up in the lakes overnight, been to wheelbase demo. Any recommendations for a proper Sunday dinner tonight. Staying just outside Windermere so anywhere between Ambleside and Staveley would be great.

Mortal Man or Hawkshead Brewery Food Hall (not sure of hours)

I would normally recommend hopping on the ferry and going to the Cuckoo Brow Inn, but I think the ferry is off this month.

The Watermill at Ings was always good, although I've not been for several years.

The Angel in Bowness Is always good for food. I’d imagine they’ll have a roast on

I was at the watermill in Ings month ago and the food was of the very highest standard. Lovely establishment and served me well before kipping in the car at a very pleasant nearby location before an early morning in the mountains. Lovely part of the world.
