I am trying to login as the administrator in Windows 10 on an old Linx 1010 tablet. I want to install Garmin Express to use with a watch. I can download the software but when I try to install it says I need to login as Admin . I have done this but still get the same result. I bought the tablet SH so didn't do the original set up. Long time Linux user so not familiar with Windows 10.
Right-click / run as Administrator?
Does it actually say "login as Admin" or are you inaccurately paraphrasing?
Even when you're logged in as an Administrator, you sometimes have to right-click the executable and choose "Run as Administrator". I've also found that in some cases, logging in to an Administrator account that has a blank password doesn't work, you need to have a password on the account.
I’ve had issues with some packages, & the different version of Windows 10. Does the device have all the latest windows updates available installed?
Right click on the file, 'Run as Admiistrator' worked.
