I’ve watched it about four or five times now - Fury is so relaxed but never letting his guard down. Very, very impressed.
“He didn’t hurt me at all, but the simple fact is my uniform was way too heavy for me,” Wilder told Yahoo Sports. “I didn’t have no legs from the beginning of the fight. In the third round, my legs were just shot all the way through. But I’m a warrior and people know that I’m a warrior.”
Nah mate, you're a dingbat.

It weighed 40 pounds!
He's supposed to be a highly trained athlete.
Soldiers march for miles carrying more.
A commercial diver will be carrying twice that before he gets in the water to start his work.
He's made himself sound like an idiot.
Talking about the uniform he wore for the ****ing ring walk? Christ. I bloody hate all the pomp of the ring walks - they think it helps sell the show but I bet NO-ONE would miss it if the fighters just jogged to the ring and got on with it like at York Hall. And anyway it was a smack in the ear that wrecked his legs. Idiot 😆
I can't quite believe he dared to come out and say that about the costume. Everyone would have much more respect for him if he'd just held his hands up and said he was second-best on the night and congratulate Fury.

Watch Leigh Wood v Jazza Dickens from the same weekend. Not only a great fight, but the respect shown afterwards - far beyond what the overpaid lumps could ever manage.
40lbs is 18kgs....
Pathetic excuse!

It seemed pretty obvious that he lost his legs when he got punched on the ear. That's a perfectly reasonable explanation so I wonder why he has come up with this load of ballcocks. Only thing I can think of is that he has a previous injury to the ear, or a condition affecting balance that he wants to keep on the down-low to avoid making it a target for future opponents.

I am pretty sure it will be a number one target if he ever gets back in the ring. I doubt he can make that a secret again.
Beats David Hayes sore toe excuse doesn’t it.
Fury will have some fun with that in the lead up to the next fight. I almost can’t wait 😀
Well done to Fury. Good fight.
Just watched the youtbue clip yesterday.
Initially I thought Wilder could be more lively but he was completely sluggish from the start of the first round. Fury on the other hand was very lively and imposed himself throughout. What a fight.😀
Wilders ego won't accept he got out thought and outfought by the better boxer. So he is grasping at every excuse possible and blaming everyone else, he just needs to accept defeat and work to regain the crown. Piling in on his cornerman for rescuing him is more pathetic than the costume excuse IMO, he may have the hardest punch in boxing, but that doesn't make him am man, he's a childish brat.
It would be a mistake for him take the option for the immediate rematch, if he doesn't want to end his career as a laughing stock, he should go away and learn to box, take a couple of intermediate fights to work on his skills and then try and get another shot at the crown, and show some humility in defeat or victory.
Of all the predictions made by so called experts only Mike Tyson was correct where he predicted a win by Fury, but then Fury is named after him. 😄
Mike Fury?
Mike Fury?
It's his youngest brother, Power Rangers Jungle that I feel sorry for.
Everyone would have much more respect for him if he’d just held his hands up and said he was second-best on the night and congratulate Fury.
Hi did say just that after the fight . I'm pretty sure that his "excuse" regarding his ring walk outfit was tongue in cheek
Wilder's revelation has made me realise that the only reason I haven't won the Tour de France is that my wheels are really heavy.
With you Dave, the only reason I’m not a pro is I have to drive 8 miles to my local crit race, the power steering in my Berlingo isn’t great and I’m worn out by the time I get there.
Going in the wife’s car this season so expect to be on the podium each week.....
Just listened to a podcast I subscribe to in Ireland when they had Andy Lee who was in the corner for Fury on. Prior to the fight he was also on before the fight and pretty much said that their plan was to take the fight to Wilder and if the option was there hurt him and knock him out. He said in the first fight Furey never tried to hurt Wilder just out box him. He also said that Furey was the much bigger man and in clinchs his tactic was to make Wilder support his weight. This would sap his legs. He also said that Tyson tried to appear as heavy as possible at the weight in by taking on as many fluids as possible and he was actually much lighter in the ring. Opposite tactic for non heavy weights who need to make a weight.
