I jave 6 50w halogens lighting the office - everything went pop. Normally is a bulb goes it trips the system and I just reset it at the main board. This time no trip and no change if I reset the whole thing.

I have tried a new bulb on the off chance that all 6 blew up at once but still nothing. Any ideas as to what may have happened?

Cheers

All six bulbs on one 12v transformer and the latter has died? Or are they 240v?

240v I think.

Best to know. Take bulb out - it should have the voltage printed on it

If not stick your finger in the fitting- if you live it's 12v and there will be a transformer somewhere, probably up in the ceiling cavity close to one of the bulbs (presuming they are down lighters) .

If you die then its 240v- actually that test won't was as there's no power to the fittings. Lets not stick our fingers in there anyway.

Next place to look is maybe the switch are all 6 bulbs are in one room / on one switch?

OK - its 240V. Switch next then? Any other possible reasons? It is a single switch btw.
