I have to admit I enjoyed Foyle's War. Mainly though, it could have been because, as a gentleman of a certain age, I couldn't help all the time thinking of what might be the reward of overcoming the challenge of getting Sam to relax...

I reckon it's a toss-up between Hong Kong Phooey or Inspector Gadget.

Morse.

Beer, an old Jag, and an affable if slightly slow on the uptake geordie to drive you home when you've had too much Old Wobbler.

What's not to like?

LEWIS!!

Rebus played by John Hannah with that incredibly sexy Scots accent, swoon. 😀

Ooooh, mustn't forget Trevor Eve as sexy Shoestring. 😀

Hmmm, I seem to be rather fixated on sexiness ... what was the question? 😉

It's no wonder he ended up in a wheelchair; pissing around with guns like that...

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Lund.

Maybe because she is not actually a very good detective? She is reckless and usually gets her colleagues shot.

To watch it's awesome, but I wouldn't want her investigating my murder 😉

Sergeant Joe Friday

"Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent"

Rather fond of DC Anna Travis too 🙂

Cant beleve no-one's mentioned the Gene Genie:

Hunt: They reckon you've got concussion – but personally, I couldn't give a tart's furry cup if half your brains are falling out. Don't ever waltz into my kingdom playing king of the jungle.
Tyler: Who the hell are you?
Hunt: I'm Gene Hunt. Your DCI. And it's 1973. Nearly dinner time. I'm 'aving hoops
