Ooh great, a "have a go at 6 Music" thread - I almost started one myself the other day.
I was listening to the afternoon show - as my CD player is on the blink and I wanted a station without too much talking so I could get on with my work - and I heard Gary Crowley describe a (rubbish) record as "a Bloc Party classic".
FFS, do he really think their listeners are so young and clueless that music by some boring grey landfill indie band qualifies for "classic" status. I get angry enough when I hear Blur or Oasis records described that way - let alone (crap) music made in the last couple of years.
The woman that's on before him is OK though, plays some more leftfield-ish stuff.
