Several Ben Nevis 4.0 I.P.A here & a couple Arran Blondes for dessert.

Any suggestions for tomorrow's lunchtime headache-removing-lager/beer/ale?

I'm having pie.

Franziskaner Weissbier, £1.49 a bottle from LiDL, while stocks last. I went in looking for cheap bike stuff and came out with a crate of this instead.

Had a very long night photographing three bands in Newcastle, watching everyone else drinking beer and getting lairy. Back home now and into my third can of Becks. Not the tipple of choice but the 24 hour garage only sells 'emergency' beer.

4 tinnies of cider and a quarter litre home made lavender schnaps... and now, the expected thick head...

Think its the ethanol in the schnaps...

Last night, a single pint of Scarlett McCaw from Oakham, forgotten just how much of a grapefruit twist it has.

Single pint as driving and laying off the beer for before the London 10k tomorrow - what was I thinking!

I had several bottles of Koppaberg Strawberry and Lime, it is so very sweet 😀

Then I went out and had some normal boring pub lager, Fosters i think it was, and have a headache now.

Just had scrambled egg with spagetti hoops on toast and a bottle of coca cola for breakfast to try and help.

Black Isle Red Kite Organic ale.

Nectar of the gods.

If C is 25 and cycles 100k a week, how many Real Ale weekends does he have left until he looks like this>?

Schwing.

That is a delicious line up.

The porter is divine. Get the bitter choco out to nibble on.

Can I have one of those chairs?

I think I'm going to have a few now as I'm riding early tomorrow. There's quite a few Sierra Nevada pale ales in the kitchen...just hoping there's still a few left come morning! 😀

Sierra Nevada bullies my head in the morning, so does Blue Moon for that matter, something funny must happen in the cargo plane.

Having a notion for some Modelo, but I've forgotten what the sun looks like so it wouldn't be right.

Need a nice comforting "pssing down" ale.

Like Innis & Gunn Rum cask.

still daylight here.

besides, I've been busy for the last hour or so.

2x chardonnay & 1x rioja demijohns now on the go, and a cab-sauv racked into a clean dj.
tomorrow I shall be brewing 20-23 litres of a clone of a well known belgian lager.

Quick update in the morning/early afternoon?

stumpyjon Is the plan 6 bottles of white wine or am I thinking of the wrong 'Bay?

Well, this is the obligatory "who's" pissed Saturday night thread then.

Every time I say "that's it" a pack of Virginia Smooth ends up in the basket with the scratchcard. Just for one at the weekend.

I reckon the law banning it from P.O.S will do me favours...or make it even more of a guilty pleasure.

I like a life of moderation now after "the student" narcissistic years of 20 Marlboro Red and many vodkas-a-day.

Am only bloody 25. Going on 40. Innit.

Proper cheese, savoury biscuits, home-made brew?

It's all gone River Cottage since some people drank themselves to sleep.

Wonder how stumpyjon and his Cloudy Bay's getting on.

If one is slightly tipsy, do not go for a pootle round the garden...

have some kids cfinnimore.. it will greatly improve your motivation to stay off the fags.. and will help you to fall asleep at the screen, halfway through a dodgy Bucks Fizz, possibly preventing the tipsy pootle..

'Tis alrite yunki , sister keeps giving me nieces and nephews, every time another one shows up I think it adds 5 years to my brood-o-meter. Oh the commitment!

Mrs.C on the other hand...

"5 years 'til 30" she says "yup". . .
*hides the turkey baster*

I think she plans on waking up on the morning of her 30th birthday, legs in stirrups and a sign saying "let's go, big boy".

Beer o' clock?

Had a lovely pint of "Deuce" at lunchtime after an interesting mornings riding alongside (and occasionally in) the Erewash Canal and River Trent.

Nearly a disaster at the bar when she thought I'd ordered a pint of "Juice" 😳

Slight hijack ...

Bought a bottle of Co-op Czec premium lager yesterday to try it out and I must say it tastes very nice unlike the majority of the chemical water you find nowadays. It's brewed and bottled in Czec republic for Co-op.

Matt, Loch Fyne ales, all of them, are marvellous. Along with Inveralmond and pretty much anything from Orkney, I very rarely stray South of the border.

All Aled out for the weekend I think. Perchance a nice Oatmeal Stout (Black Isle) to round the day off nicely?

I think next week shall be IPA week.

I like saying "glass or two".
In house measure terms It's quite ambiguous.

Two glasses = 80% of the bottle... Glugglugglugglugglug...
Oh well, can't put it back in the bottle now :-).

Anyone recommend an ale with Heather in it rather than Fraoch?

Tell you what, house measures can send Nicola Sturgeon right to buggery, minimum priced units indeed.

£5 in this glass. Cow.
