A card that my boy had made at nursery, some fancy chocolates, and a cool photo frame with a picture of him and his mum in it. Awesome 🙂

Edit: liquid1000, your username sounds quite appropriate! Hope things improve.

Well, I'm going to pick up some tool chests later on the Halfords offer and then me & the kids are going to attack the garage.

The kids don't know this yet!!!

What is it with our wives going on girlie weekends on our day?

It's the rules, Mother's Day means you have to pamper her all day and give her a break from the kids, Father's Day you need to spend quality time with your kids, bloody stitch up!

Can you imagine the uproar had a lads weekend been booked over Mothering Sunday...
And I'm not even affected by this wanton abandonment of duties.

Woman...know your place I say.

[In quiet, indoor hushed voice obviously]

It's so they don't have to, you know, bother? Can you imagine the repercussions if we did they same?

FWIW, it's Boy 1's birthday today too. We get to go go-karting together. 😀

MrsMCTD is away camping with the Guides, so my two forgot it was Fathers Day till about 9am, when we'd been up 2 hours. I did get a very fine book "A Year in the Saddle" by John Deering and Phil Ashley. Well, I got the book a month ago and told MrsMCTD that it was to be hidden and given to me today!

Car satnav for me. It's a lovely, and expensive gift.
I don't have a car.
But I'm allowed to use Mrs. D's car sometimes.
Now saying they couldn't decide between that and the Reverb I've been banging on about.
I once talked the kids into buying Mrs.D. a frying pan - this may or may not be related...

Heard a great anecdote by Al Murray about how when he was at school he had a real dislike of sport and he and group of his sport-disliking friends used to use 'sport' as a derogatory term. For instance 'He's a sport' meaning 'He's a ****'. As a gang they've hide from sports lessons in the theatre and pretend they were rehearsing. One of that gang of sport hating thespians was TV football reporter and TdF pundit Ned Boulting 🙂

A little box of chocs for me and some crumpets in bed, the food kind, the coffee never appeared though.

Might go out for a spin later and take the eldest it was blue skies but clouding over now, the trails should still be dusty here though.

I got some razor relief balm. I might use it on my bollocks or save it for Ed Oxley's birthday. Or both.
