Has the 'Strome ferry no ferry' bit in it?

Yup. Complicity.

My favoured IB books are without question The Bridge and Crow Road, but Espedair Street - and Complicity - run them a close race..

Aye, Complicity, he's talking in the office with the older reporter who likes terrible puns. I always end up thinking about Complicity driving through Strathyre and Lix Toll where the wee cars and the crazy landrovers were.

I think the tri-track Land Rovers are still there Northwind? Sure Marty took a snap a couple weeks back, logo'd yellow Landie.

The matching Fiats at Gilmerton, no longer sadly, or they've been upgraded, not the dinky ones any more anyway.

They are like a literary soundtrack to many folk I think, shared places, sights.

Ah, I know the cuthbertson got sold when the garage changed hands (apparently it went off to Brazil to a working life, the roadless bigwheel I think ended up in Norway) but it looks like they've got a new tracked Defender now to replace it, ace.
