Well if that's panel damage only, someone handy with a spanner could have a good fun cheap run around out of that.
Technically, is that a imported Miata and not an MX5?

Ebay, just don't expect a lot for it, or I seem to remember a few years ago seeing a kit car manufacturer was using mx5's for donor part (drivetrain, suspension and brakes etc) might be worth a google to see if they've got any customers looking for donor cars at the moment.

You could try one of the forums - www.mx5nutz.co.uk for example.

Its a Eunos import. I have tried MX5nutz and they are saying Ebay too. Not what I wanted to hear as there is bound to be grief associated with selling on there!

Ebay for the least hastle (possibly) and quickest sale.

Or kit car forums (even MG forums) as the engines/gearbox's generaly outlast the chasis (which continues with the rest of the car's british roadster theme by rusting horribly) and thus are popular for either kit car donors or transplanting into MG's. Even heard of a classic fords running Mazda drivetrains.

I broke an MX5 and sold it on eBay a couple of years back. Bought the car for £500 originally, ran it for 6 months and the it failed its MOT in a big way. Decided to split it - sold wings, steering wheel, seats, bumper, roof - loads of random bits. Made nearly £500 on that alone. Then shoved the rest on eBay and someone paid £300 for it.

makkag you dont have an email address in your profile..

Its a 1990 H reg done 114380 miles, apart from the major dents and scratches there are a few chips in the paint but nothing serious. It had a new hood 18months ago, interior is pretty immaculate. All 4 tyres are pretty new and have loads of life in them. No tax but I think it has a bit of MOT left (need to check). Was looking for somewhere around £450ish looking at Ebay but for a STW sale I would take £400.

The car is in Southampton if you want to have a look.

There's a garage near me called MX5city, that's all they do, might be worth a call to them. Conisbrough near Doncaster.

Mx5 is the base for the MEV Exocet kit car. Some kit car types might be interested as all they domis remove the panels etc and stick a new body on top.

Of corse if the structure has been bent then there'll be less interest.

I think you'll be very lucky to see £450 for it. Given the amount of panel damage no one is going to stick it back on the road so it's likely to be broken.

Get on some kit/donor car websites and you might make what you want.

MX5's (even ones are fair bit newer then 1990) are cheap as cheaps.

kinell - that site even has instructions on how to part out a MX5 when you're building one of the kits!
